Hello everyone,
I'm another encourager on this path that we'll be taking together. Like the first author, I'll be taking the full B90X trail, and like DB I'm just an ordinary person who's trying to get a little closer to her Saviour. My other name is Lilly. I'm a college student, taking a moderate course load with some fairly intense classes. So, like many of you, I'll be busy. However, after doing a lot of prayer, I decided that I have enough wasted time in my day that could be put to much better use. I'm hoping that this B90X journey will help me incorporate reading the Scripture on a daily basis, and make it something that I will easily remember to do once the 90 days are done. I hope to write here often, with thoughts and different things that stick out to me from the readings. I also hope that this journey will be life-changing for all of us.
Don't worry, you're not alone, we're here with you, and God is, too!
God go with you, friends!
-Lilly

Introducing DancerBird
Hey everyone! I’m DancerBird, DB for short, I’m also a college student, and I’m going on a slightly shorter version of the B90X Journey. I’ve already read all of the Old Testament, so I’m going to be posting updates and encouragements for the New Testament version of the program once a week or so, there are two grace days per week built into B90XNT, so I should make it on those days. I can’t wait to see where this journey takes me, and all of us. I pray it will bring you to a closer and better understanding of God’s amazing plan for your life. One thing I want to note, I’m not an extraordinary Christian, or person, or anything like that. I’m just a normal person who wants to get to know her Lord better.

A Challenge Worth Taking
Hey guys!
What's shakin'? Get ready for a challenge! I'm on a quest and I want to know who's determined enough to come with me. It has been my personal goal for many years now to read the Bible from cover to cover. No skipping, no reading the "interesting books" only, but really and truly reading the whole thing, start to finish, from cover to cover. As part of my new years resolution, I am taking on a quest to read the entire Bible. Most might think that I'd set a goal to finish the whole Bible by the end of next year, or perhaps the end of the summer, but I SAY NO! If I'm going to do this, I'm going to do it completely hardcore, and I've found the best way for me to get something accomplished is to get fired up and passionate about it. It's got to be important, and it HAS to be HARDCORE.
Many of you may know that I like to work out. What inspired me to do so is a program called P90X, google it if you so choose. This program was designed to get ordinary people in extraordinary shape in record breaking time. 90 days, in fact. Many of you know the program, and the reason it worked so well for me is because it was hardcore, extreme, and something that you just had to get in there and do! It was, as promised, life-changing. That is the same thing that I'm doing with this Bible course. Yep, that is right guys. I'm reading the entire Bible in 90 days. Enter B90X.
I wish I could say I came up with this idea, but I did not. The B90X Bible course has been circulating the internet for a little more than a 3 years now, I believe, and while it's unclear to me who originated the course, it's safe to say that many people want to do it, have done it, and are currently doing it throughout the world. The results are amazing, if you don't believe me take a look at the first 20 pages that come up when you google B90X. People everywhere are doing it, including people at my cousin Ryan's college, Grace Bible in Grand Rapids, Michigan (thanks again Ryan showing me this awesome program!).
I know a lot of you have been feeling stagnant in your Spiritual life, so I urge you to take part in this quest with me. I know a lot of people will say "90 days? That doesn't give you enough time to absorb anything!" While this is partially true, you can still absorb a LOT just by reading it once. Also, while I go through my Bible over the next 90 days, I am intending to highlight things that stick out to me. Green will be verses I like, blue will be for things I don't understand, orange will be verses or facts I want to memorize, and perhaps I'll divide it further with additional colors. The point isn't just to say I've "read the whole bible cover to cover" (although it is a nice thing to be able to say), the point is to grow and find new things that I can further explore after the 90 days.
Ok, here it comes. Decision time. I've told you about my adventure, now I need to know who's committed enough to stick with me. If you'd like to do this with me, just send me an email letting me know you'd like to join and what email you'd like updates to be sent to. If you don't want to do this or can't, you don't even have to reply to this, but you can if you wish. However, before you say you're too busy, I urge you just to ask yourself when life EVER will slow down. 18 credit college courses, work, hectic exercise schedules, and a crazy family life later and I'm still going to lead this. If I can you can. Some things, you've just got to make time for. The pdf with the reading schedule is attached below so you can review the list and see if you think you can do it. It's really not as bad as you may imagine. It's not even a book a day. It's generally between 12 and 20 chapters. Usually 16.

Things to know:
- You can get the B90X reading schedule here > http://www.stevenfurtick.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/B90X.pdf
- I start my reading (Genesis 1:1-Genesis 16:16) January 4th, 2011- 8 days from now
- I'll be with you throughout this whole thing. I'm going to create an address list that will include all the people doing this with me and I'll be sending out daily, or perhaps weekly reminders and updates filled with encouragement and perhaps a few Bible verses that I liked particularly that day/week.
- I might also be making a facebook fan page to post updates through that, if that turns out to be easier than an email list.
- You can invite other people to do this with you. It's not limited to just the people I've picked from my limited email address list.
- I would love any support that you can give me in this, while I'm taking charge of leading this adventure, any help and encouragement would b very much appreciated.
- If you miss a day, don't sweat it, you've got two "Grace Days" built into the 90 days, because no one is perfect. If you miss more than two, however, I would still urge you to stick with us. You can do that by either catching up, or just skipping to where we are. Obviously catching up is best, but it is understandable if it isn't possible.
- If you are a student, don't worry! This will not interfere with finals. The 90 days will be done by April 3rd, 2011. This is usually two weeks before finals start for most colleges.
- Lastly, if there is anyone out there interested in a smaller scale program out there, some guy online made a 90 day B90X course that only goes through the New Testament. Feel free to take a look at that here. http://churchofcelebration.com/pdf/b90x%20program-1.pdf
Just as P90X was, this too, could be a life altering experience. I await your response. Who's with me?
